For a couple of weeks now I have been thinking about how to make the samples I send out with every order a bit more interesting and fun.
Etsy seems to be about the only site I have ever received a sample from some shops when I placed an order. I must say most of the ones I got were either useless trinkets I would rather not have because now I have to recycle them (like scrabble tiles or plastic key chains?). They were not very nicely packaged and I bet I might have been more excited it they were fun to look at when I opened the box. I don’t know..
I love samples that are useful and since the beginning I have included a sample with every order, doesn’t matter if you order from our website or from our site at Etsy. Every order gets a sample.
I know soap doesn’t need much of an explination or any ideas on how to use it. But our herbs do. I am going to include a free recipe with each herb sample I send out. (sorry not this week) Some will be cooking recipes others are bath and beauty or tea recipes.
A new batch of natural soap samples, this one is called Summer Sheets, it will remind many of the popular scent new cotton, fresh cotton and the like.
Of course your bar when you order one will be a full sized bar tucked inside our new cotton bags.
If you have an order being shipped out this week I’m sorry I spoiled the surprise for you, but at least it is something to look forward to. Would love to hear how you like the soap and the packaging.
We are continuing to add a sample product to each and every order that is placed. The past few months have been some of our more popular herbs to help introduce everyone to them.
The next few months I would love to reintroduce you to our Natural soap line that has recently been expanded to over 30 scents. The old favorites such as lavender, Rosemary and Blackberry and Sage are still here.
Our Farm House soap bars have a nice rich lather with loads of bubbles, a treat to use in the shower. Made with natural, skin loving ingredients Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Vegetable Glycerin (kosher), Purified Spring Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (a moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier, helps everything blend together), Soy Bean oil, Skin safe fragrance oils or pure essential oils. Some depending on the bar have natural pigments for color. By natural I mean herbs, spices, oxides, pigments or clays.
We offer two styles our smaller 4 ounce bars are going to be colorful and contain a bit of unique ingredients and they come wrapped in a clear wrapper so you can see their beauty. Some contain skin safe fragrance oils and some are pure essential oils.
The others are colorants free and contain skin safe fragrances. These are larger 5.5-6 ounce bars and will come packaged in our natural cotton bags.
We were up bright and early to drive over an hour to pick up 10 Narragansett turkeys we will be raising this summer to add to our breeding stock. They are a heritage breed and on the endangered list.
We stopped at one of our favorite local restaurants on the way and had a great meal of sausage and gravy on biscuits with over easy eggs. I must say while super yummy the eggs were flat and tasteless compared to the organic ones we are accustomed to from our own organic fed hens.
Next up was a trip over to the local old home day horse pulling. I had a great time and a chance to catch up with old friends from the horse word and neighbors.
Then we were off to a party for dear friends who are moving out of state. Met up with many friends there and had a great visit as well.
Then home to do evening chores and a shower with this I pulled from our soap stash….
WHITE SAGE topped with organic Calendula. It has a bright crisp scent that not only I love but the guys like and appreciate it as well. The bars are nice over sized chunks that roll nicely in your hand if you know what I mean. They are heavily scented and last a good long time. Each bar is $5.50 and weigh around 4 ounces each. They all are close but since they are had cut the weight varies a bit.
You can pick up your own bar of White Sage Soap in our Etsy shop.
Don’t forget the coupon code FREESHIPPING and I will pay the shipping for you.
Just the little pick me up to move on to a load of laundry and to pack the cooler for out trip tomorrow up North to spend the day at the Fiddler’s Contest. Always an enjoyable day to hang out, listen to some great local and Canadian fiddlers, a bit of blue grass, a picnic and relax.
So what do you have planned this weekend?
